We have a pregnant Yellow Zebra. She is orange, no stripes, and belongs to the 'Metriaclima Estherae' family. (The General Jr. is the male of her breed.)
She's got a big mouth full of eggs..fish who are not pregnant don't have that big bump under their mouth. |
Underneath her jaw you can see the profile of something poking out. |
And this is a 'Yellow Lab' (Labidochromis Caeruleus) who is also carrying, she is yellow with a black stripe, it's one of the smaller sisters.
We'll be watching them carefully and will move them to their "private nets" in a couple of weeks.
What do you do with all of the baby fish...I can't remember?
ReplyDeleteWe keep some and we'll sell some to the fish store. But we will not be able to sell the babies from the "yellow Lab" because her babies are a mixed breed. So I'm not sure what we'll do with her babies, probably just keep them upstairs. Maybe we can find someone who won't care and wants some fish.
